Failed the Life in the UK Test?

After you have taken the test, the test supervisor will announce your test results after 10-30 minutes. If you pass, you can apply for a British citizenship or an Indefinite Leave to Remain. If you fail, however, you can’t apply for one.

But you won’t get deported or removed from the country upon failure of the test. You can still live in the United Kingdom unless your documents or Leave to Remain expires or is close to expiring.

If you wish to remain in the United Kingdom for a longer time, you need to go to the Home Office to apply for further Leave to Remain. This is important because should they find out that you’re still staying in the country with an expired Leave to Remain, not only would you get removed from the country, but you might also be banned from going to any of the countries of the United Kingdom.

If you wish to remain permanently in the UK, you will need to retake the test again, but only after a week has passed. There is no limit on how many times you can take the test, provided that you can pay for the test every time you book one.
