Passing mark for the Life in the UK Test

In order for one to pass the test, one must have 18 (out of the possible 24 questions) correct answers, or 75%. Any lower than this and you automatically fail the test, regardless of how you did well on the practice tests, as those previous tests won’t affect the current score.

The passing rate as of 2009 is set at 70.9%. Out of 906,464 people who have taken the test, only 263,641 failed the test.
